After our ride on the Songdo Marine Cable Car in Busan, we headed over to the Songdo Skywalk (sometimes called the Cloud Bridge). Honestly, I didn’t have super high expectations – I just figured it was something to do. But the Songdo Skywalk exceeded any expectations I had for it and was my favorite thing we did in Songdo. And the best part: it’s FREE!
Songdo Skywalk in Busan
Songdo Skywalk is a 365-meter-long (about 1,198 feet) bridge that stretches along the Songdo Bay in Busan. It stretches from the coastline to the small, rocky Geobukseom Island (Turtle Island) – allowing visitors to explore the small island before venturing further out onto the bridge. The island is definitely dedicated to the animal it is named after – with a giant turtle shell that makes for the cutest photo op, multiple turtle sculptures, and even a small exhibit inside a tunnel with pictures and information about turtles. All that to say: if you like turtles, you’d probably enjoy visiting Turtle Island.
The views were, of course, beautiful – it’s a beach-side city with rocky shores, a pristine beach, and gorgeous mountains in the background… what’s not to like? The kids loved exploring the small tide pools on the island and finding all of the tiny crabs crawling around. It was definitely giving me flashbacks to our time living in the Pacific Northwest (which I miss DEARLY even though I love Korea SO much). The bridge itself is beautiful and, while it’s not a suspension bridge, it does wobble as you walk on it. Although I was still recovering from the motion sickness of riding the cable car, I thought the wobbling was a fun little surprise. And, of course, no visit to anywhere in South Korea would be complete without multiple people stealing H for for pictures. Ha!
We loved our time at Songdo Skywalk in Busan. Some day when we make it back to Busan, a day at Songdo will be HIGH on the list of must-dos, and you can bet we will be hitting up the skywalk again.
’til next time…

How to visit the Songdo Skywalk in Busan
Directions & Parking: The Songdo Skywalk is located just across the street from the Songdo Cable Car (Songdo Bay Station) which I have provided a Naver pin for below. You can park at Amnam Park for ₩300 every 10 minutes – although that is on the opposite side of the bay as the skywalk. I will include a pin for the Amnam Park parking lot below and you can purchase roundtrip cable car tickets to get back and forth. If you’re not looking to ride the cable car, you can park at an off-site parking lot that is about a 5-minute walk to the skywalk (which I have also linked below). We paid about ₩2,000 for a few hours parking there.
